THE RABID AMERICANS (2015-2024):
A Photographic Exploration of Trump’s MAGA Movement

Synopsis / Summary:

"The Rabid Americans (2015—2024)" is a photographic project that documents the chaotic rise and reign of Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again!” movement and its seismic impact on American political expression and spectacle. Beginning in September 2015 and continuing through the climax of the 2024 election, this self-funded series moves beyond the orchestrated pageantry and mania of pro-Trump rallies to delve into the often anarchic, impassioned scenes of right-wing fervor in the streets, capturing a theater of aggression that culminated in the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. This in-depth pictorial foray, which marries the immediacy of photojournalism with the expressive power of fine art, exposes the polarizing faces, emotions, and plot lines defining this precarious chapter in fragile American democracy. Encouraging viewers to confront the complex, often disconcerting realities of Trump’s most ardent followers, this monochromatic series offers a narrative that is both historically significant and provocatively contemporary. It provides ongoing, critical commentary on the potent influence of political imagery on the American psyche, underscoring my commitment to delivering the stark, unflinching coverage that this moment in history deserves.
