In 2010 I was working as a preschool teacher but became more and more obsessed with my little Canon Powershot point-and-shoot, and - alongside my LG flip-phone, keys and wallet - I took it everywhere. Friends started telling me I had a good eye, but that I should learn how to use a real camera. So, for Christmas, I made a book of pictures for my parents and, in exchange, they got me a Canon 7D DSLR. Below are the book's spreads.
For this blog in general, though, each entry will highlight re-edited selects from each shoot I did with my new camera (a few that are already familiar but others newly re-discovered), starting from the beginning. I've wanted to comb the archives for a long time now and figure that - with gigs and deadlines coming up constantly - more progress will be made by just starting with an incremental approach, a little bit at a time. Here goes...
