Photographed more than 100 families and made 300 photos at UW on a hot sunny day in August.
And a test shot that turned out nice...
I'd been on call for a couple days, and when the call came I kind of experienced what husbands on TV do as they rush to meet their pregnant wife at the hospital- the eternity of red lights and the franticness of trying to get there in time. So much anxiety, and I was just the photographer!
75 selects from this year's big day.
After years of admiring my friend Aleksa Manila's Instagram posts of Drag Queen Story Time at Cal Anderson and even more years since I used to making my living as a preschool teacher, I finally got to mark it off my bucket list! Caught her and Sparkle Leigh and they were both great with the kids and got some good jokes in for the adults, too.
Here's a post I'd like to share from Jenn Tai, one of the first local wedding photographers whose work I latched onto a couple years ago and couldn't stop obsessing over. That was before I knew anything at all about wedding photography except that it looked like fun. Welp, I got to second-shoot for Jenn almost a month ago! It was just my second time second-shooting for another photographer - it was so wonderful, and I felt super cool getting to work alongside someone whom I've admired for so long from afar. Can't wait to see her pictures! (And mine, too, edited by her.) Jenn's awesome, and more and more I'm looking forward to meeting more folks in Seattle's wedding photo community. Anyway, will blog my favorite shots from JT and Grace's wedding once she's done the same. Also, I'm looking forward to second-shooting for Jenny Gimenez again in ten days! Totally wouldn't mind second-shooting weddings with my favorite photographers more often!
