I was going to write a post saying how much I like this guy, but I'm worn down after a long day and I guess that's all I mean to say anyway - I like this guy. We don't see much of each other over the course of the year - always working too much and not quite finding that balance. Which is why all-in weekends like Sasquatch and this past spring a trip to his hometown, Las Vegas, really seem to help ground us - serve as that much-needed attitude adjustment. Anyway, yeah. Dru's young and on it, and it's meant a lot to me getting to know him, his family, and his story. We have totally different backgrounds yet we relate pretty perfectly - for one, because we've been those two straight guys documenting (him through video) Seattle's gay history the last couple years, and never saw ourselves doing that. But, two, we've both got chips on our shoulders, and I think having something to prove along with passion is what's going to get us to where we need to get to. Where that is, I'm not sure yet.
